YEAR 7 – 10 ACADEMIC AWARDS

Certificate of Endeavour:     ONE per CLASS, EVERY TERM AT END OF TERM ASSEMBLY.

For ALWAYS TRYING, IMPROVEMENT & CONSISTENT EFFORT.

Is NOT for the highest achiever in the class.

Determined by the class teacher.

Certificate of Achievement:  Year 7 to 9 only.

ONE per CLASS, AT END OF YEAR PRESENTATION CEREMONY.

For consistently being the HIGHEST ACHIEVING STUDENT IN INDIVIDUAL CLASSES (Including all elective classes, studied at any time during the year).

Determined by the DP using grade data, with assistance from teachers if required.

Top Student Award:  Year 10 only.

ONE per LEARNING AREA, AT END OF YEAR PRESENTATION CEREMONY.

For consistently being the HIGHEST ACHIEVING STUDENT IN INDIVIDUAL LEARNING AREAS.

Determined by the DP using grade data, with assistance from teachers if required.

Dux:   ONE per year group, AT END OF YEAR PRESENTATION CEREMONY.

For the HIGHEST ACHIEVING STUDENT IN THE YEAR GROUP.

Determined by the DP using grade, with assistance from teachers if required.

AGE APPLICABLE “SPECIAL” AWARDS - AT END OF YEAR PRESENTATION CEREMONY.

YEAR 7 and 8

BHS Alumni School Values Scholarship:  ONE winner for each year group

$500 onto the student’s account for the following year.

Most consistent demonstration of the BHS PBS Values throughout the whole year.

Follow the Dream Award: ONE winner for each year group

$100 onto the student’s account for the following year.

Bridgetown Lions Cadets Award: ONE winner if applicable.

Personal cheque and book prize to winner.

Winner to be determined by Cadet Staff.

YEAR 9

BHS Alumni School Values Scholarship:  ONE winner

$500 onto the student’s account for the following year.

Most consistent demonstration of the BHS PBS Values throughout the whole year.

Follow the Dream Award: ONE winner

$100 onto the student’s account for the following year.

Strict selection process including written application and interview.

 

 YEAR 10

BHS Alumni School Values Scholarship:  ONE winner.

Personal cheque to the value of $500

Most consistent demonstration of the BHS PBS Values throughout the whole year.

Follow the Dream Award: ONE winner

$100 personal cheque or voucher prize.

Castle Equipment:  TWO WINNERS.

Awarded to the two students with the highest achievement across both Maths and Science, to be determined by Year 10 Maths and Science Teachers.

Bridgetown Lions Cadets Award:  ONE winner

Personal cheque and book prize to winner.

Winner to be determined by Cadet Staff.

Agricultural Society Scholarship:  ONE winner

Personal cheque to winner to contribute to uniforms, fees etc for Ag School the follow year.

ADF Long Tan Leadership Award: ONE winner if applicable, to be determined by Student Forum Coordinator and Admin.

St John Humanitarian Award: ONE winner if applicable, to be determined by BHS Staff.

AMPOL Best All-Rounder Award:  ONE winner if applicable, to be determined by BHS Staff.

Rotary Merit Awards: TWO winners if applicable, to be determined by BHS Staff.
