March 10th/11th is the date for the second annual Alumni re-union weekend. An art show, featuring Bridgetown High School ex-students, will be part of the weekend with a special launch for the event planned for Saturday, March 10th at 5.00pm.
We would hope that there will be functions that evening for those who graduated in 1957, 1967, 1977, 1987, and 1997.
The Brunch on the Blackwood will be held again at Bridgedale on Sunday morning, so we hope to see many of you again over this weekend. of 59-61 Reunion
Terry (Bing) Robertson organised a 59-61 class reunion on the weekend of October 20th and 21st 2006. The weekend began with a “quiet” drink at the Bridgetown Hotel on the Friday evening, followed by headaches for many on Saturday morning.
For those up to it, tours of the school were then conducted by the Principal, Steve Bullied, and students on the Saturday afternoon. All who visited the school were impressed and appreciative.
Nelson House was the venue for the dinner on the Saturday evening attended by 75 former students and partners. The celebrations were so good that the former students were asked to “go home” in the early hours of Sunday morning!
Among those who were in attendance and noted as being amongst the “active” celebrants were Marjorie Rowcroft (nee Draper), Peter Billington, Margaret Woodward (nee Wheatley), Pam Souness (nee Doust), Phillip Hiscox, Barry O’Dea, Robert Bickford, Dennis Turner, Ron Jeffries, Jim Bartlett and of course Terry (Bing) Robertson.
